Melanotan II is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide alpha-melanocyte-stimulating-hormone analogue. Identifiers: formula C50H69N15O9, molecular weight 1,024.2 g/mol. Brands also use the names MT-II, Melanotan-2, Ac-Nle-c[Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys]-NH2. A synthetic analogue developed from alpha-melanocyte-stimulating-hormone research at the University of Arizona.
